Cushion Workshop

Cushion Workshop - Saturday 28th March 10 - 1pm & Tuesday 10th March 9.45 - 11.45am

Create a gorgeous professional-looking cushion cover yourself. I’ll show you how to make a piped cushion with a zip fastening.

We will cover the following:

  • Marking fabric and cutting
  • How to create professional corners
  • How to insert piping
  • How to insert a zip

What do you need to bring?

  • A square or rectangle cushion pad – any size
  • A zip approx the width of your cushion pad
  • Enough fabric (preferably cotton medium weight) to make a front and back with seam allowances
  • Thread to match your fabric
  • Piping cord enough to go around the cushion pad(You can buy pre-covered piping cord)
  • Pre cut bias binding tape in a contrast colour enough to go around your cushion pad
  • A basic sewing kit
  • You can bring your own machine if you have one but there will be machines available for use.
Please don’t spend a lot of money on fabric, a simple calico will do if you want to gain confidence before unleashing yourself on the expensive stuff!

Coffee, tea and biscuits will be provided.

Venue: Ringmer Village Hall (St Mary's Room)

Cost: This course is just £20!
